I'm open for COMMISSIONS!

Thu May 14, 2009, 11:27 AM
Yay for sharing crayons with :iconshmell0w: the other day :) That was loads of fun. <3 But anyway, we were talking (during life drawing, to my teacher's unrelenting disapproval, lolz), and she encouraged me to start taking commissions. I agree, so I'm totally doing it! Should add a little more spark to this account, ne? :D

EDIT: Added sketch prices!

Without further ado:

STARTING PRICES
(ex: Subject | Pencil Sketch | Inked and shaded | Color )
All prices are negotiable depending on the commission.

Character Turnaround
*Please specify what views you need.
*All views are of a single pose of your choice, heads will vary in expression and angle by your request only.
*If you want a character designed from scratch, it is double the starting price as that commission's starting price. Again, this is for your personal, non-commercial use ONLY!

*Personal appointment is preferred for a piece of yourself/friend/family/pet. If you really want a photograph drawn, send me an email or note with a link to the photo and I will give you a quote.

2D Animations
*Prices include planning, storyboarding, and other time-consuming work involved.
* Pencil animations are NOT shaded.
* I can make looping animations.

Other things I am capable of
Business cards, posters, greeting cards, beautified poems, T-shirt designs, etc. Prices vary with each job, so I will need a full description.
*I will not provide the script or text for these items, only the design and typography.

So here's my...

POLICY:
- I only accept Paypal! (US Dollars, if you please.)
- I will not start working unless I receive half the price as down payment, and we have signed a detailed contract. We will both negotiate the contract following these guidelines. With my policy in mind, of course.
- All commissions are for your personal, non-commercial use only, unless I specifically give you full rights in the contract.<---Which costs double of negotiated price.
- It is expected that you credit me for my work.
- I will periodically send you updates of the work in progress via email, as a low-resolution, watermarked piece.
- Limit two revisions during development/sketch stage. Anything beyond is another piece altogether. Rejected concepts will then be solely owned by me unless you pay for them. The down payment will be kept by me for the time spent.
- Both digital and traditional pieces cost the same, generally. The prices I outline here are starting prices, meaning that if I feel something is more complex/will take more time than the usual, I will raise the price accordingly. I will notify you of this during the contract negotiation process, as I become more aware of the details of your commission.
- What I include in the finished product. Digital: The photoshop file (.PSD), a JPEG in full resolution. I can resize the file for free by request. Traditional: The piece in an envelope, shipped to you. Free shipping! :D *For continental US only, international ppls gotta pay. Sorry!
-Animations are a heck of a lot of data, so I will upload to YouTube with a watermark as opposed to emailing you the progress. To ensure only YOU get the finished product, I will mail you a disc containing the rendered .MOV. Other formats available upon request only, as well as a digital folder with all the frames.
- By the way, I am NOT responsible for any damaged/lost shipped items. Take it up with your postman! (Animation discs I can reproduce for a small fee ($5))
- 8.5" x 11" format is my standard (unless otherwise specified in the section above), please let me know if you need a different size, format, or orientation. Limit 11" x 14" for traditional pieces.
- I specialize in living things. I do not create pieces focusing on the inanimate, unless they are personified. It's against my religion ;x
- I'm pretty flexible. Naked bodies dun' scare me, furries are fair game, and fanart/other artist styles are totally acceptable as well. :> There is the slim possibility that I will not take a commission based on extreme grodyness. But it doesn't hurt to ask. Really.
- Traditional mediums I work in: Charcoal, pencil, ink, watercolor/gouache, marker, marker washes, crayon.

Woo! How's that for a post? xD

You won't regret hiring me! :D
